C. Sharps Pepperbox Pistol,  mfg. 1860's, .22RF caliber, 2.5" four barrels slide forward with barrel release at underside of frame for loading, the hammer with a rotating face, iron frame, walnut grips, this example appears to have been nickel plated some time ago thus obscuring the maker and patent information originally found in a circular form around the rear frame screw at both sides, using a 20X loupe "Co" is visible at right frame and "C" visible at left frame, frame and barrels with scratches and wear, action is good, hammer face rotates properly, barrel slides correctly, each bore semi-bright with light pitting, the trigger is numbered at right with partial 8 then 55 (the second 5 appears to be a misstamp, the serial number at barrel underside and butt 22385
