Lot description
British Signal Pistol marked at the left frame "Wolseley 1918, III, six point star, broad arrow, 18, crown over markings, NZ with broad arrow", the left barrel marked "broad arrow 18, crown markings NZ with broad arrow: the right frame numbered "18431", the barrel lug marked at the underside "128851" and that number repeated in part on shell ejector, brass, the 6" barrel opens with press lever at left, wood grips, lanyard ring, light dents and scratching, action good, an attached shipping tag stenciled "O,H,M,S" (On His Majesty's Service) with illegible addressee, for shipping 6" x 10" x 2", 2.90lbs (63) *Provenance: Collection of Billy Wayne Dickey, USN, (Texas, 1936-2022)
