(lot of 2) Mexican folk art carved and painted wood alebrije figures, each signed underfoot Manuel Jimenez e Hijos (Manuel Jimenez Ramirez and Sons, Oaxaca, Mexico, 20th c.), including: (1) skunk, with applied tail, approx 6"h, 8"w, 4.75"d; (1) spotted red coyote, small chip at foot, approx 8.5"h, 10"w, 3.5"d; 1.5lbs total Provenance: From the personal collection of Ruth Korn Josephs (1927-2023), founder of Pilar Fashions and Folk Art in Corpus Christi, Texas, representing her 50 year love affair with art.
