Italian Louis XVI style giltwood mirror, 19th c., foliated wreath crest centering pair of birds, over rectangular frame encasing flat mirror plate, retaining label at back panel marked "P. Cornette De Saint-Cyr, Commissaire-Priseur (Auctioneer)," approx 37.75"h, 21"w, 14lbs Note: Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr (Morocco, French, 1939–2023) was a prestigious art dealer and prominent auctioneer of the last quarter of the 20th century, opening his own auction house in Paris in 1973, where he was later joined by his sons, Bertrand and Arnaud. He later served as President of the Palais de Tokyo Museum in Paris from 2003-2012
