Framed etching on paper, "Etruscan Maiden," pencil signed lower right Bror Utter (Bror Alexander Utter, Fort Worth, Texas, 1913-1993), numbered 1/ 15, titled in pencil lower left, retaining Mid-Tex Gallery, Midland, Texas label on dust cover, sheet likely trimmed and affixed to mat with unknown glue adhesive, remnants of old tape at each edge, sight: approx 7.25"h, 6 5/8"w, overall: approx 12 1/8"h, 11.75"w, 1.25lbs Note: Bror Alexander Utter (1913-1993) was a Texas Regionalist artist and a prominent member of the Forth Worth Circle, a progressive art collective active in the 1940s-1950s. His professional success as an artist was followed by a long teaching career in a number of Fort Worth Institutions. His work is represented in the permanent collections of the Dallas Museum of Art, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the Texas Fine Art Collection, among many others.
