Metamorphic parquetry writing desk/ games table, Maitland-Smith, late 20th c., having shaped top with inset gilt-embossed leather surface, central checkerboard top sliding to expose backgammon board, flanked by dual slides, fitted with two drawers, on tapering squared supports, maker's plaque in drawer, closed: approx 30.5"h, 49.75"w, 24.5"d, open: approx 30.5"h, 66.5"w, 24.5"d, floor to bottom of apron (clearance): approx 25.25"h
