French globe de mariee/ bride's globe, late 19th c., glass cloche/ dome on ebonized base, concealing a pull-string music box movement, gilt-metal frame with foliates and grape cluster motifs, among small etched and beveled mirror plates, on tufted red cushion, music box observed operating, adhesive label underfoot inscribed "mon petit pioupiou (my little chick)," approx 22.5"h, 14"w, 9.25"d, 11lbs
