Fine French Renaissance Revival heavily carved oak bed, 19th c., shaped headboard with central octagonal platform, above recessed paneling depicting figural scenes of a reclined maiden and an interior with a nursing mother and child at a spinning wheel carved in relief, side panels with varied carved decoration, one side with cartouche and elaborate foliated scrollwork, the other with winged cherub mask supporting a wheel, amongst tracery and vinery, latticed footboard flanked by varied supports, one in the form of a beast, the other as a Solomonic columns, supports ending on casters, exterior: approx 53"h, 83"l, 65"w, interior: approx, 74"l, 57"w Provenance: Property from a distinguished private collection
