(lot of 14) French library shelf books, satire, theatre, and history, in gilt-embossed leather binding, many with gilt page ends, raised spine bands, marbleized covers, including: (6) "Rabelais Oeuvres, (Works of Rabelais)," illustrated by Gustave Dore, published by Chez Michel De L'ormeraie, Paris, volumes I-VI; (3) "L'Illustration Theatre (The Artwork of the Theatre)," published by Goupil and Cie, Paris, 1903 and 1913; (1) "Histoire D'Angleterre (History of England)," published by Hippolyte Boisgard, Editeur, Paris, 1854; largest: approx 14 1/8"h, 11.25"w, 1 5/8"d, 77.5lbs total PLEASE NOTE: All of the antique library shelf books in this auction are inherently fragile.
