Estate Georgian period figural pig brooch, set with numerous small uncut Old Mine and European cut diamonds, approx 1.60cttw, average color: I-J, average clarity: I, with low carat gold (tested) bar, other metal safety chain and pin, lacking four small diamonds (eye, front hoof, and tail), apparently unmarked, approx 1.25"l, 5/8"w, 6.6 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: A local Austin family's Durham, United Kingdom heirloom collection. Through family inheritance, Lady Harriet Lister Grove Cradock (English, 1809-1884), an accomplished writer most remembered for her novels Anne Grey, Hulse House, John Smith, and Rose.
