Religious first-class (ex cineribus) relic of Saint Maria Goretti (Virgin and Martyr, one of the youngest Catholic Saints, Italian, 1890-1902), housed in a gold-tone metal theca reliquary with scalloped border, red wax seal with the Passionists coat of arms verso, further encased in an upholstered travel case, accompanied by certificate of authenticity issued by Postulator of the Congregation of the Clerics of the Excalceatorum of the Holy Cross and Passion, certificated dated 26 March 1954, theca: approx 1"diam, case: approx 2.75"h, 2 3/8"w, 1"d, 57.8 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: from the extensive collection of a long-time contributor of relics, Catholic church goods, and liturgical antiques NOTE: ALL JEWELRY & COIN LOTS REALIZING OVER $1,000 MUST BE PAID BY BANK WIRE.
