Large first-class (ex ossibus) relic of Saint James the Great (son of Zebedee, one of the Twelve Apostle of Jesus Christ), the central figure in the famous "Camino de Santiago" pilgrimage, housed in a silver-tone metal theca reliquary, with scalloped border and ribbon twist trim, red wax seal with the issuing Catholic authority's coat of arms verso, theca: approx 1 7/8"l, 1.5"w, 30 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: from the extensive collection of a long-time contributor of relics, Catholic church goods, and liturgical antiques NOTE: ALL JEWELRY & COIN LOTS REALIZING OVER $1,000 MUST BE PAID BY BANK WIRE.
