Commemorative Civil War reunion root cane/ walking stick, bullet-struck handle with carved initials ENM, over embedded musket ball, with inked inscription "Devils Den Gettysburg PA. July 1, 2, 3, 1863," approx 32.25"l, 4.5"w, 1.5"d, 0.5lbs Note: Devil's Den was the location of heavy fighting during day two of the Battle of Gettysburg. Bullet-struck tree roots were taken as souvenirs from the battlefield and sold to veterans and visitors to the site shortly after the war
