German .750 silver footed bowl, dual scrolling foliate handles with grotesque mask terminals, centering gadrooned bowl, on figural swan-form pedestal and ovular foot, engraved date 1835 with double monogram MV at base, Altenburg city mark, zigzag assay mark, and maker's mark with initials FF, approx 5.5"h, 7.25"w, 4"d, 4.91ozt Provenance: The collection of retired United States Navy Admiral Bobby Ray Inman (American, b.1931), former Director of the National Security Agency, 14th Deputy Director of Central Intelligence, and Chair of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board
