German silver-tone metal pectoral reliquary crucifix, housing relics of (seven) saints, identified by the consignor as Anthony of Padua, Maria Goretti, Dominic, Francis of Assisi, Theresa of Lisieux, Saint Anne (Mother of the Virgin Mary), and possibly Saint Louis, all framing an Agnus Dei disc (papally blessed Paschal candle wax), in ebony-inlaid cross pendant with applied Corpus Christi, trefoil terminals, accompanied by a copy of certificate of authenticity issued by the Nuns (Cistercienserinnen) of Saint Joseph's Abbey at Thyrnau, Germany, certificate dated 8. 9. 1952, approx 4 1/8"h, 2"w, 66.4 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: from the extensive collection of a long-time contributor of relics, Catholic church goods, and liturgical antiques NOTE: ALL JEWELRY & COIN LOTS REALIZING OVER $1,000 MUST BE PAID BY BANK WIRE.
