(lot of 2) French Napoleon III period Boulle work bracket clock and wall bracket, late 19th c., comprising: (1) bracket clock, mansard-form roof surmounted by flaming torch finials, above shaped case with scrolling foliate cut-brass marquetry, centering repousse dial with seated allegorical figures, marked Delvaux Moulins, porcelain Roman numeral hour markers, time-and-strike movement marked Vincenti et Cie., retailer's mark Farret A. Paris, on turned-form feet, filled dowel hole at top center, accompanied by pendulum, time movement observed operating, broken suspension spring, runs fast, approx 26.5"h, 15.25"w, 6.75"d; (1) matching wall bracket, terminating on grape cluster finial, approx 12.25"h, 17"w, 8"d; 32lbs total Provenance: Dallas, Texas: When the madness of collecting collides with connoisseurship
