(lot of 2) Folk art "santos de palo" religious saint figures, Puerto Rico, late 19th/ early 20th c., carved wood with gesso and polychrome paint, each rising on platform base, including: (1) Saint Roch, by Quiterio Caban (Puerto Rico, 1848-1941), accompanied by a copy of a certificate of authenticity issued by Galeria Botello, San Juan, approx 7.75"h, 4"w, 2"d; (1) Anima Sola, attributed to the Caban Family, approx 8.25"h, 3.25"w, 3"d; 1.25lbs total Provenance: the Stanley Family's fine Tarrytown Estate PLEASE NOTE: Folk art pieces are inherently fragile.
