Biedermeier figured walnut fall-front secretary, early 19th c., having canted rectangular case with upper frieze drawer, above fall-front cabinet, revealing interior finished in parcel-ebonized burlwood veneers, fitted with letter slots and nine drawers, flanking mirror-backed compartment, the two lowest interior drawers concealing hidden compartments, above dual exterior cabinet doors, opening to fixed-height shelving, rising on tapering squared supports, lower corners of fall-front cabinet each with loss and glue repair, approx 63"h, 35.75"w, 18"d
