(lot of 15) French library shelf books, various non-fiction, medical subjects, history, and periodicals, all with gilt-embossed leather binding, marbleized cover, some with raised spine bands, highlights include: (8) "Pratique Medico-Chirurgicale (Medical and Surgical Practice)," published under the direction of A. Couvelaire, A. Lemierre, and Ch. Lenormant, published by Masson et Cie., Paris, volumes I-IV and VI-IX 1931-1936; (2) "I'Illustration (The Illustration)," bound periodicals originally published in 1915, featuring numerous photographic, artistic, and testimonial accounts of World War I, (one) spanning issues from February to July, (one) spanning issues from July to December; (1) "Le Visage de France (The Face of France)," published by Horizons de France, Paris, copyright 1925; largest: approx 16"h, 12"w, 2.5"d, 104.5lbs total PLEASE NOTE: All of the antique library shelf books in this auction are inherently fragile.
