Antique patinated bronze/ copper alloy figural shrine, India, modeled as the Hindu supreme lord and destroyer, Shiva, as the Chandrashekhara avatar, adorned with beaded garments and a topor headpiece, depicted with four arms, one hand wielding an axe, another hoisting a small deer or antelope, the lower hands in the Abhaya and Varada mudras, standing in samabhanga atop a round pedestal, ending on square base, verdigris and worn gilded patinas, retaining adhesive collection number underfoot, approx 10.5"h, 4.5"w, 2.5"d, 4.75lbs Provenance: the contents of a retired Wall Street executive's lakeside compound
