Whitney Model 1 Revolver, single action, .22RF caliber, 3.25" octagonal barrel marked at the top flat "Whitneyville Armory Ct U.S.A.", blade front sight, cylinder extractor rod, brass frame with grooved rear sight at top, 7 round fluted cylinder, Rosewood grips, marked "R N" at left butt under grip, serial number matched at butt, cylinder, and stamped at underside of both grips, barrel lettering is crisp, light scratching and pits at frame, action is good, bore is dark with some pitting, rifling appears strong, SN 21976 *ANTIQUE*
