(lot of 2) German sterling silver figures of knights, late 19th/ early 20th c., each having gilt-sterling accents, with hinged face guard revealing inset carved face, wearing suits of armor and chainmail, raised on integral plinth, (one) holding shield and sword, (one) holding shield and axe, hallmarked Germany 925 sterling at base, largest: approx 12"h, 4"w, 3.5"d, 1477.5 grams total (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: through our consignor, the collection of Mr. John Poquette, Chicago, Illinois
