Lot description

(lot of 3) Large French Louis XVI style bronze dore and rouge marble mantel garniture set, 19th c., including: (1) mantel clock, having urn-form finial, and square columnar supports, framing white dial with Roman numeral hour markers, time-and-strike movement with open escapement, marked S. Marti and Cie., over balustrade gallery, rising on shaped plinth base, accompanied by pendulum and key, broken suspension spring, not currently operational, approx 29.5"h, 15"w, 10"d; (2) urn-form oil lamps, now drilled for wiring, flanked by dual foliated scroll handles with figural mask, rising on square base, ending on bun feet, in need of wiring and socket hardware, both intact with restoration to marble near base, (one) on later marbleized wood socle, approx 20.5"h, 8"w, 5.5"d; 135lbs total
