Lot description

(pair) American Arts and Crafts copper bookends, Roycroft, early 20th c., each being of hammered construction, topped by folded scroll, over floral pendants and simple scrollwork, studded trim fronting flat base, marked on platform, remnants of a gilt finish, approx 5.25"h, 3.75"w, 3.75"d, 0.75lbs total Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance. The estate features an extensive array of English furniture alongside antique decorative objects, the kind of exceptional pieces that only reveal themselves to collectors who know where to look and what to seek.
