French Louis XVI style fauteuil/ armchair, 20th c., having foliate bow crest, over oval back seat, with molded ribbon-twist beaded trim, upholstered in blue silk fabric with golden bees and foliate fonts in wreath surrounds, rising on fluted tapered legs, some loss to armrest upholstery, approx 39.5"h, 26"w, 23"d, seat height: approx 18"h Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. Alexander, an antiques dealer and designer with over 20 years of experience operating shops in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Middleburg, Virginia. Kathryn retired in 2020 and now lives in Georgetown, Texas
