(lot of 3) Chinese table articles, varied materials and functions, including: (1) fabric-lined octagonal sewing box, the lid mounted with embroidered medallion, and beaded tassels with Buddhist 'endless knot', revealing lacquered interior with removable trays, approx 4"h,10"w, 9.75"d; (1) calligraphy brush, horse hair bristles, carved bone and purple hardstone handle, approx 14.5"l; (1) meiping porcelain vase, in a dark blue glaze, four-character mark Yu Tang Jia Qi (Beautiful Vessel for the Jade Hall) underfoot, approx 8"h, 4.5"diam; 6lbs total Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. Alexander, an antiques dealer and designer with over 20 years of experience operating shops in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Middleburg, Virginia.
