Large Chinese carved elm altar or center table, Qing dynasty, having square top, over conforming apron with recessed paneling and pierced scrollwork trim, rising on curved legs, ending on box stretcher base with square feet, remnants of a black lacquer finish, approx 27"h, 31.25"w, 31.25"d Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. Alexander, an antiques dealer and designer with over 20 years of experience operating shops in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Middleburg, Virginia. Kathryn retired in 2020 and now lives in Georgetown, Texas
