(lot of 2) French Gothic Revival carved walnut side chairs, late 19th c., each having pierced trefoil crest flanked by pointed finials, in fine petit-point and gros-point needlework upholstery, the backs depicting a male and female noblewoman, likely Charles VII and Marie of Anjou, the seat with Joan of Arc's flag among foliate scrollwork, rising on stretcher-joined turned legs, ending on front paw feet, loss to tassel trim, approx 49"h, 19.5"w, 20"d, seat height: approx 17"h Note: matching armchair offered in this auction
