(lot of 2) Books: "George Washington," by Worthington Chauncey Ford, complete in two volumes, Memorial Edition of 1250 numbered copies, this being copy 756, Charles Scribner' Sons, New York and Goupil & Co., Paris, published 1900, a total of 609 numbered pages, 30 illustrations and numerous tailpieces, the pages with deckle or rough edges and gilt at top, the exterior with marbleized and red leather boards, gilt lettering and eagles at the spine, a few pages with gray molding, Vol 2 with leather crack at top end of spine, each approx. 10.5"h, 7.25"w, 1.25"d, for shipping all approx. 5.05lbs Note: a "Mount Vernon, Virginia" brochure "Issued By The Mount Vernon Ladies' Association" at one interior; both volumes with an owner's bookplate at the front of "Edward Eri Poor" (1837-1900. U.K., Boston, President National Park Bank, NY, son, E.E. Poor Jr. 1861-1951.
