French Louis XVI style mahogany cylinder bonheur du jour / ladies writing desk, early 20th c., having inset marble top with pierced gilt-metal three-quarter gallery, dual cabinet doors with inset beveled mirror plates enclosing single fixed shelf, over two shallow drawers, flanked by open shelves, roll-top with inlaid cut-brass fleur-de-lis motifs and diamond pattern, revealing tooled leather writing surface, gallery fitted with six small drawers, over two exterior drawers, finished back paneling, rising on tapering fluted legs, ending on brass feet, approx 57.75"h, 36"w, 19.5"d, floor to bottom of apron (clearance): approx 23.5"h
