English Regency inlaid rosewood writing slope/ campaign desk, 19th c., with silver-toned metal stringwork trim and mother-of-pearl scrolling foliate inlay, dual campaign style collapsible brass handles at sides, opening to gilt-embossed black leather writing surface, underlying storage at either side, fitted with pen and ink receptacles, retaining a glass inkwell, over a hidden compartment with three small drawers, approx 7"h, 19.75"w, 10.5"d, 11.5lbs Provenance: The Tarrytown, Austin, Texas estate of Janice Holliman Stanfield
