Lot description
Swiss Model 1869/71 Vetterli Rifle, bolt action with internal magazine, ,41 caliber, 33" part round, part octagonal barrel, blade front sight, adjustable rear sight, SN 3569 at left barrel flat below rear sight and illegible numbers on the stock in the same area, the left receiver with factory made holes removing the original external loading gate in accordance with the new model 1871, the left receiver plate also marked "Sauerbrey in Basel" and serial number '3569", metal with overall brown spots, the front section of the forestock has been removed, bolt action is good but trigger does not activate internal hammer, bore is dark with definable rifling, ANTIQUE
