Framed charcoal drawing on Lenox paper, "Reed Dancers I," signed lower right Rick Maxwell (Richard Allen Maxwell, American, active in Texas, b.1947), dated 6/ [20]07, titled on typed label verso, possibly a study for sculpture, sheet: approx 40"h, 29"w, overall: 47.5"h, 36.5"w, 17.75lbs Note: Rick Maxwell taught for the Dallas County Community Colleges from 1975 through 2008. From 2008 to 2018 he served as Executive Dean of the School of Arts at Brookhaven Collage. Maxwell has maintained a studio in the Cedars neighborhood of Dallas since 2002.
