Brichetto, Genova, 20th c., with marquetry in the manner of Giuseppe Maggiolini (Italian, 1738-1814), open back with scrolling foliate inlay, the seat with elaborate floral spray including sunflowers and peonies, cross-banded parquetry trim, rising on sabre legs, some retaining partially obscured maker's label under seat, approx 35.25"h, 18.25"w, 19"d, seat height: 17.75"h Note: part of a large furniture suite comprising two sideboards, a dining table, an armoire, a dressing commode, and a lot of eight dining chairs offered in this auction
