Italian Renaissance Revival carved walnut sideboard, early 20th c., having foliated cornice and dentil molding, upper case with two cabinet doors, elaborately carved paneling in high relief depicting a maiden in distress and an assemblage of warriors, raised on figural beast-form supports, lower case fitted with two drawers, over two additional cabinets with high relief figural battle scenes, side panels with incised armorial motifs, rising on supports modeled as lions, ending on platform base, approx 91"h, 81"w, 23.5"d Note: matching server/ buffet offered in this auction
