Exceptional Continental architectural baldacchino/ baldachin, 18th c., carved wood and gesso, in a parcel-gilt and painted finish, having arched niche surmounted by fruit-filled basket and draped swag, flanked by split pediment crest with seated cherubs, rising on Solomonic columns with Corinthian capitals, decorated with winged putti masks and scrolling foliate motifs, terminating on stepped platform base, disassembles into nineteen pieces, approx 273"h, 162"w Provenance; acquired by consignor upon the demolition of an 18th c. church in Belgium
