Lot description
First-class (ex ossibus) religious relic of Saint Edmund of Canterbury (also known as Edmund Rich, Edmund of Abingdon or Edmund of Pontigny, French, c.1174-1240), small reliquary pendant housed in a Gothic style cross-form altar reliquary, with quatrefoil viewing panel, knopped stem, on a lobed hexafoil base, accompanied by certificate of authenticity issued by Carmelus Cesarano Congregation of the Holy Redeemer, certificate dated 1933, cross reliquary: approx 9 7/8"h, 3 7/8"d, 549.5 grams (inclusive of all materials)
