Monumental Neoclassical style parcel gilt architectural wall panel, 19th c., carved wood with gesso overlay and polychrome paint, central Medusa mask over shield cartouche encasing five crossed arrows, above scrolled plaque with Latin inscription "Integritas (Integrity)," among various scrolling foliates, ribbons, and fruit motifs in low relief, painted grid background, with beaded trim and egg-and-dart molding, approx 134.5"h, 37"w, 1.5"d, 130lbs Note: The Rothschild coat of arms features an arm grasping five arrows and the family motto "Concordia, Integritas, Industria." Also offered in this auction is a similarly-style architectural panel inscribed "Concordia." Provenance: the contents of a Stratford Hills mansion
