Lot description

Extraordinary British carved stone garden seat/ bench, believed to be Portland stone (limestone), a pair of sizable pineapple finials surmount three full-height back panels carved in relief with scrolled vines and grape clusters, the curved seat supported by full-body winged lion figures,(two) seated and (two) recumbent, all on a segmented base, some typical small chips, approx 53 1/8"h, 114"l, 31"d, seat height: approx 20.25"h Provenance: the collection of an English gentleman, acquired from an important estate in Scotland  PLEASE NOTE: All garden pieces in this auction have inherent flaws and evidence of outdoor use. Most are likely to have small chips, hairlines or imperfections. Please assume they are not in perfect condition and bid accordingly.
