French Louis XV style paint-decorated vitrine/ display cabinet, 19th c., in a later white-painted finish, having carved rocaille crest, over glazed breakfront cabinet door encasing curved glass, lower panel with foliate scrollwork and central reserve with bee motif, three fixed-height glass shelves, mirrored back and bottom panels, flanked at sides by medial shelving, cabriole legs ending on whorl feet, remnants of a prior gilt finish, minor evidence of old woodworm, approx 83.5"h, 52"w, 16.5"d Provenance: the contents of a Stratford Hills mansion
