Colonial mahogany settee, 19th c., having arched back with fanned shell motif crest, central carved pharmaceutical motif of the Bowl of Hygieia, framed by caned paneling, molded-edge seat, rising on front cabriole legs ending on paw feet, restoration to back left leg, caning intact with (two) small areas of loss, some minor evidence of old woodworm, approx 42.75"h, 64.25"w, 18.5"d, seat height: approx 18.25"h Provenance: the contents of a Stratford Hills mansion
