French papier peint (wallpaper), Zuber & Cie, Rixheim, Alsace, Scenic America, originally designed by Jean Julien Deltil (French, 1791-1863), in nine consecutive lengths numbered 15 through 23, hand printed from the original wood blocks, panoramic scenery including ships in Boston harbor, American Indians performing a ceremonial dance (partial scene of Natural Bridge, Virginia), stored rolled, panel number 15 with tear in sky, each printed image: approx 127"l, 19"w, each sheet: approx 136.5"l, 20 1/8"w Provenance: The estate and interior design collection of Gay Ratliff (Martha Gay Kokernot Ratliff, Austin, Texas, 1942-2023)
