Continental Derby style hand-painted porcelain candlestick holder, 19th c., having floriform bobeche, over central standard modeled as lush tree branches with birds nestled in the laurels, accented by applied flowers, rising on parcel-gilt scrolled base, underfoot marked France with spurious Derby or Chelsea gold anchor and blue KPM style mark, floral elements intact with typical minor chipping, hairlines, and small restorations, approx 9"h, 5.75"w, 4.75"d, 2.5lbs Provenance: The estate and interior design collection of Gay Ratliff (Martha Gay Kokernot Ratliff, Austin, Texas, 1942-2023)
