French two-light candle sconce or girandole, late 19th c., Lille-style painted faience plaque, decorated with aristocratic figures in a landscape, mounted with a patinated metal crest, two foliate scroll arms, spurious wreath and 1767 date mark, edges of plaque repainted, previously drilled for electrification, not currently wired, plaque: approx 10.5"h, 8"w, overall: approx 14.75"h, 7.75"w, 4.5"d, 3.25lbs Provenance: The estate and interior design collection of Gay Ratliff (Martha Gay Kokernot Ratliff, Austin, Texas, 1942-2023)
