Large Dresden parcel gilt porcelain covered potpourri vase, Carl Thieme, Potschappel, late 19th/ early 20th c., having pierced lid surmounted by applied roses, over tapered body with dual ram's head handles, painted reserves depicting figural equestrian hunt scenes, among polychrome painted flowers and ribbon motifs, rising on circular socle, blue crossed swords mark with initial T underfoot, intact with stable hairlines at cover and rim, typical small losses and restorations to applied floral elements, approx 28"h, 14.5"w, 11.5"d, 18.25lbs Provenance: The estate and interior design collection of Gay Ratliff (Martha Gay Kokernot Ratliff, Austin, Texas, 1942-2023)
