Large Spanish Carlos IV inlaid mahogany secretary bookcase, Catalan, 18th c., having split pediment crest flanking turned finial, central "Auspice Maria (Under the Protection of Mary)" Catholic seal, over dual chamfered cabinet doors, with scrolled string inlay, revealing shelved interior, lower case fitted with fall front cabinet, opening to green velvet writing surface and interior gallery, above three exterior drawers, rising on bracket feet, some typical veneer loss and patched repairs, stable filled split to lower case at left side, upper cabinet lacking escutcheon, approx 107"h, 46.25"w, 24"d
