Large framed oil on tin retablo, Intervention of Our Lady of Guadalupe, lower right initialed RRC (Rafael Rodriguez Contreras, Mexico, b.1974), depicting a battle scene in a landscape strewn with fallen soldiers, others firing canons, with the protective image of the Virgin overhead in the sky, lower inscription describing the dangers faced by the men of the Mexican Revolution, of which they were divinely protected from after calling upon the image of the Virgin in prayer, sight: approx 40"h, 47.75"w, overall: approx 44"h, 51.75"w, 18lbs
