French mother-of-pearl jewelry casket/ box, late 19th c., gilt-metal mounts with trailing berried vines, open interior, intact with some splits and adhesive repairs to shell panels, small loss at ball handle joint allowing handle to come loose/out,, approx 5.5"h, 9.25"w, 7"d, 2lbs Provenance: From the Byram Family's Above Stratford Mansion. John Byram, a prominent Austin-based real estate developer, and his late wife Sally Byram curated this French Provincial style estate with the help of notable architects and interior designers. The home has remained untouched since Sally's untimely passing in 2006, serving as a testament to her taste for sophistication and craftsmanship
