English Edwardian oak table box, retaining Worshipful Company of Fishmongers tag to interior, early 20th c., rectangular box mounted with pierced brass scrollwork, domed top revealing open interior, stamped with gilt branded crest, approx 3.5"h, 10 5/8"w, 5.5"d, 1.5lbs Note: The Worshipful Company of Fishmongers was founded in 1272 in the City of London, persevering to the present day as one of the 'Great Twelve City Livery Companies'
