(lot of 2) Southwest style silver overlay jewelry, including: (1) silver (content unknown) brooch, apparently unmarked, approx 1 1/8"diam, (1) sterling silver pendant brooch, katsina dancer, stamped rain cloud picto mark (possibly spurious)/ sterling, on a silver (content unknown) paperclip chain with hook closure, pendant brooch: approx 2 3/8"h, 2"w, chain: approx 24"l; 1.65ozt total Provenance: the collection of a psychiatrist who taught at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in the 1960s and went on to become a founding faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he taught thousands of doctors over a career into the 2000s. The doctor amassed his collection over several years with dedication, care, a critical eye for detail, and cultural appreciation.
